<Description: The proposed project is focused on supporting european
wine SMEs in uncertain scenery and to improve its competitive position.
The main aims are:
1. To aware and train to the managers of wine SMEs in information
tools and models of taking of decisions to take advantage of these
technologies for their business.
2. To optimize the wine SMEs processes: reducing the time for
answering, discovering new opportunities for business and optimizing
the marketing strategy thanks to real data based tools.
3. Dissemination of knowledge; cooperation and exchange between the
european wine regions.
The improvement of the competitive position is the understanding of
the needs of the sector, being able to anticipate and avoiding future problems. Search form certainty is the most valuable objective in a continous changing
scenery.
This project will contribute to the specific objectives by:
Designing a system of automatic knowledge acquisition  
Researching in a formal model ot reasoning under certainty
Strategic objective 1 (Semantic-based Knowledge Systems):
To develop semantic-based and context-aware systems to acquire,
organise, process, share and use the knowledge embedded in multimedia
content. Research will aim to maximise automation of the complete
knowledge lifecycle and achieve semantic interoperability between Web
resources and services.
