Invitation to participate to the Marie Curie conference, Paris 3-4 October 2011

> The conference is organised by the European Commission and the Centre
> National pour la Recherche Scientifique - CNRS
>  
> Marie Curie Actions are renowned in Europe and beyond for making
> researchers' career in all sectors more attractive. They are fully
> contributing to the European Union objectives set in the Europe 2020
> strategy to promote mobility, offer adequate skills for new jobs, and
> foster innovation.
>  
> The aims of the conference will be to present and share best practices
> implemented through the Marie Curie Actions. Through speakers'
> presentations and participants' contributions we will highlight how
> member states, research institutions, private companies, team leaders,
> or individual researchers have made the best use of Marie Curie
> Actions to increase researchers' employability.

> Increasing researcher's employability requires developing strategies
> for, among others, improving training, obtaining adequate skills to
> work both in the private and public sectors, networking, benefitting
> from attractive working conditions, ensuring family friendly working
> conditions and equal opportunities regardless of the gender, etc.

> Marie Curie Actions under FP6 represent more than 4200 contracts worth
> 1.9 billion Euros. The majority of the projects are now completed and
> from them emerge series of best practices. A set of these "golden
> nuggets" has been selected and will be presented during the
> conference.  
>  
> The event will gather about 150 high-level research policy makers,
> renowned scientists and representatives of major stakeholders:
> relevant European organisations, universities, research institutions,
> large companies and SME's.
