To ensure a high number of qualified applications we kindly ask you to disseminate the information on the Summer School within your institution.

Objectives of the Summer School:

. To provide a space for multidisciplinary reflection on new concepts and perspectives underpinning the changing regimes of science and policy in the construction of knowledge societies in Europe and Latin America.
. To compare the differential histories in the co-evolution of science, technology and society in Europe and Latin America and the factors and conditions favouring or impeding the development of innovation systems in both regions.
. To consolidate networks between young Latin American and European researchers and to mobilize institutional and individual collaboration in future research activities in the SSH in the context of the European Community's Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development.

Pre-requisites for prospective candidates:
. The applicants are expected to have at least a Master's degree in a relevant subject related to the study of science, technology and society (STS) and currently be enrolled in a research programme or engaged in academic jobs.
