<Description: Transdermal/mucosal drug delivery is a powerful method for massive treatment and/or vaccination against various diseases. This method is especially useful in children and in Developing Countries. The proposed project aims at identifying new potential immunogens and adjuvants and will take advantage of the newest available genetic and immunological information to design and develop vaccine candidates against HIV, malaria and/or TB for local application. A network of research partners from EU and HIV-, malaria- and TB-endemic countries will be built.

Goal
The ultimate goal of the proposed research is to design and develop vaccine candidates against HIV, malaria and/or TB for mucosal and/or trans-cutaneous application
Proposal to
- Identify new immunogens and adjuvants with a potential to elicit a prophylactic or therapeutic immune response.
- Develop potent transdermal/mucosal delivery vaccines for local application
