Development of blood vessels and Soft Tissue patches with endothelial regeneration assuring in blood vessels non-clotting and endothelial formation and in patches the same or in other applications good tissue adherence.
Workprogramme Topic:
Use the platform technology possessed by the SME to build better blood vessels and bio degradable or bio compatible patches for hernia repair.
Project description:
Develop new biodegradable or bio acceptable materials using electro-spinning and polymers that:
1. Blood vessels assure non-clotting and acceptable replacement of smaller then 5 MM blood vessels.
2. For dual sided patches assure on one side good tissue adherence and the other side no-adherence.
3. For other soft tissue replacements assure non rejection by body, controlled material degradation and replacement by tissue regeneration.
