L'evento, organizzato dal "Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK)" in collaborazione con la Commissione Europea, avrà luogo ad Istanbul il 24-24 giugno 2008.

The conference of the EU-funded THINK&ACT project will be held on 23rd and 24th of June 2008 in Istanbul (Dedeman Hotel, Yildiz Posta Caddesi No: 50 Esentepe). This conference is the last of a cycle of conferences that aims to stimulate dialogue among transnational and national researchers and policy makers on EU enlargement. For this purpose the European research results on the topic of EU Enlargement will be presented and the best ways to utilise these results in policy making at national and regional level in the European Union will be explored.

This conference will have four central sessions and one round table related to EU Enlargement:

* Social and Cultural Aspects
* Economic Potential and Future Development
* New Political Dynamics
* Security and Cross Border Cooperation
* Future Prospects Guided by Experiences Gained

Participation to the conference is free. However, for organisational reasons, it is necessary to register (www.fp7.org.tr/ssh_event) for the conference.
