<Description: The aim of the project is to construct a museum in a
way which will enable visitors to enjoy the interactive applications
of scientific knowledge and experience through using existing
scientific tools and materials in active experimental experiences, a
phenomenon which seems to be constantly ignored in Turkey. Following
are a few of our foremost activities foreseen during the project:
- Attracting young people who are interested in science to various
scientific disciplines in an effort to encourage gifted and talented
people in choosing science for their future careers.
- Creating a collaborative environment through which scientific
knowledge and experience will be shared and exchanged on permanent
bases.
- Working closely with local civic organizations and educational
institutions in an effort to offer scientific knowledge and experience
to local people in accordance with their needs and demands.
- Promoting an entrepreneurial spirit whereby local actors and
authorities will make serious investments in scientific areas, which
will raise public awareness of science.
- Arranging conferences, public meetings, film screenings, panels and
similar events within the museum, via which a lively and ongoing
discussion on scientific subjects will be maintained.
