<Description: We are a working group at an Austrian Medical
University. Our main interest is in the immunological mechanisms
underlying the response to foreign materials, especially those that
induce immune responses, particularly allergic immunity. We have
established methods in in vitro and in vivo methods to evaluate the
safety and influence of potential new drugs and compounds on the
immune system in animal models. We have experience with coordinating
FP7 proposals.
This project is dedicated to drug discovery. We are interested in
screening new compounds for safety and efficacy in allergic asthma.
Our aim will be to screen new compounds in vitro and in vivo in animal
models and with in vitro human cell models. The RTD performers will
screen materials from SMEs in models to assess potential of compounds
and if applicable, will perform experiments to help identify and/or
confirm the targets. Importantly, the SMEs providing materials for
study will have the IPR/patents/etc. on their compounds to exploit. We
also encourage demonstration and training activities.

focused on the animal models. We have an additional RTD partner who
will provide screening in human models and one SME who will be
providing novel compounds for screening.
