TOPICS which will be addressed by experts in their respective fields
include:
- role of polyphenols in chronic disease prevention, particularly obesity and diabetes
- nutrigenomics
- advances in polyphenols processing
- improving bioavailaibility of polyphenols
- evaluation of antioxidant properties of polyphenols
- processing wastes from fruit and vegetables
- practical applications of polyphenols in the food industry (including food and meat preservation)
- polyphenols in the cosmetics industry

In addition, sessions for short oral communications will be held,
together with posters and a polyphenols exhibition. Therefore, this
conference targets a wide audience, from physicians, to scientists and
academic researchers, nutritionists, pharmacists, pharmaceutical
companies, the beverage industry, food supplement companies, etc.
