Project description:
Providing fundamental knowledge on pathophysiological mechanisms of
AD, developing MRI-based methodologies for early diagnosis of AD,
developing novel therapeutic strategies, demonstrating the ability of
metal-chelators-cyclic peptide conjugates and nanoparticles bearing
b-sheet breakers to cross the BBB, evaluating the efficacy of the
novel therapeutic agents in protecting neuron cells from
neurodegenerative damages using selected cells and various animal
models.
